Build the systems behind one of Asia's largest digital banks.
Maybank's Digital Banking Division is rebuilding the bank's core customer platforms, serving millions of daily transactions. As a Backend Engineer, you'll design and ship services that power payments, accounts and onboarding across the region.
You'll work in a product squad alongside designers, data scientists and product managers, with real ownership of what you build.
What you'll do
- Design, build and operate backend services in Java and Go
- Own APIs consumed by mobile apps used by millions of customers
- Work with payments, ledger and onboarding domains
- Ship behind feature flags with proper observability
- Mentor interns and fresh graduates in your squad
What you'll need
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 1-3 years building backend services (fresh grads with strong projects welcome)
- Solid grasp of databases, APIs and distributed systems basics
- English proficiency; regional languages a plus
